BIOGRAPHY

The ocean is a part of my existence. It is as strong as my heritage. I grew up on the coast, summering in Ocean Bluff and now living in Wollaston. I got married overlooking the Atlantic and honeymooned overlooking the Caribbean. My wife, Kathy grew up in Coastal Connecticut and shares my passion for the sea.

I graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Coastal and Marine Studies. I studied at sea with the Sea Education Association in Woods Hole, MA. Now, I make my living from the ocean, selling high end seafood across the country.

My recreational activities usually are in the ocean or on it. I love to fish, surf and scuba dive. My other love is my photography. Even in a 50 knot gale, I have it around my neck and I am at the sea. I feel that my pictures reflect my intense relationship with the ocean around us. They are intimate because I know the reflections, the color, the sound, the warmth and the darkness that is emitted with the ever changing currents.

I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoyed being there for every shot. And when you see someone scaling a seawall in a three foot snow drift on a negative wind chill day, Please come up and say hello. It's probably me!
